About the Event
The Community Potluck is a time for bring folks together from the residential sangha at Mariposa, neighbors and friends from the neighborhood and city of Ukiah, and practitioners from the Bay Area and other communities for an evening of sharing food, music, games, and stories in a joyful and mindful setting.
Everyone is welcome to join and bring vegetarian food, games, and other useful tools for merry making. RSVPs are helpful, which you can do by entering the relevant info below. Upon arriving at Mariposa, use the parking space outside the main facilities to unload and then park your car down by the barn for the duration of your stay. Parking is limited, and road maintenance is costly, so we encourage friends to carpool as much as they can. Check our our visiting page for more info about visiting Mariposa. Attendance is free, but we gratefully welcome to donations to help cover the costs of utilities and facilities wear and tear.
Following the Community Potluck on Friday, the Sugarplum Sangha offers a Day of Mindfulness on Saturday. Potluck Participants are welcome to stay the night to join the residential sangha in their morning meditation practice leading into the Day of Mindfulness. The cost of an overnight stay at Mariposa is $25.
