About the Event

"I have arrived. I am home." "Nothing to do. Nowhere to go." This is Thich Nhat Hanh's central message. For fifty years he has been teaching us how to arrive with freedom in every step and how to come back to our true home in our body in this present moment. These teaching strike a resounding chord these days as most of us are sheltering in place at home with almost literally nothing to do and nowhere to go. So, the practice for us is to come back home with joy and energy - arriving at freedom in every step.

The Sugarplum Sangha offers this online retreat to connect with practitioners and spiritual friends on the path in this time of social distancing to share concrete ways for practicing mindfulness, joy, and compassion at home with families, friends, and other housemates. Over Memorial Day weekend, we create an atmosphere of retreat with eachother online and at home with a combination of Zoom sessions and personal practice structured within a suggested daily schedule of sitting meditation, walking meditation, teaching, dharma sharing, eating meditation, and interactive activities.
