First, the flowers Wow, so appreciative for everyone's patience and flexibility. That you hung in there and made it through so we could finally be connected really met my needs for community and collaboration. I also want to thank everyone for being so kind in your requests for support. It really means a lot to me to see that you want to be connected and to practice in this retreat. Also, flowers for Jo-ann's Dharma Talk! Listening to her really helped my body and mood settle, and it was so skillful how she turns adversity into lighthearted opportunities to practice. And that she's able to do that after leaving her "studio" at a moment's notice and give a Dharma Talk from scratch. That's some Dharma Teachering! Third, flowers for My! Our audio/visual/internet wizard. Amidst the confusion it may have been difficult to notice that audio and video was consistent throughout the whole talk. But it was! And that's thanks to My's ingenuity. We've seen requests for speakers to be closer to the mic, and we will incorporate that. Second, the regrets I regret that I didn't anticipate the settings I had calibrated for our meetings being affected by the update. I also realized that the login process was more complicated that need be. It appears that some folks were trying to use the retreat page password for the zoom session. So, I re-programmed the Zoom meetings and removed all passwords. All it should take now is to go to www.sugarplumsangha.org/homeward-bound and click join for the present activity. Another regret: I wish I had been more skillful in troubleshooting the short circuits and providing clearer and consistent communication for getting back on track. The mixed messages were a result of needing a Plan C when Plan B didn't work, and I realize how difficult that must have been to follow on your end. Thanks again for bearing with us. Third, some hurts Whew! That was a whirlwind for me. Not that any individual was unkind or unskillful, but acting all together meant my phone was ringing off the hook and inbox was blowing up haha. The messages I was getting were confusing too, since some folks were able to log in fine and the one's who couldn't seemed to all have different reasons. Very confusing to figure out. But again, I really appreciate everyone doing all that they could to be with us. That's just a little bit about what it was like to be me in that moment. Oh well, I think its all sorted out now :) Fourth, supporting each other Please continue to use this email or our office phone (707) 462-1016 if you have any questions or other requests for support. Also, it was nice to see folks helping each other out in the chat box. Please keep doing that :) And most of all, please enjoy your breath and your steps and you transform your home into a retreat center and practice in place.
