Monday and  Friday, 7am - 8am PST

Our standard sangha practice usually begins with the morning chant, which is traditional in all Plum Village practice centers, followed by a period of silent sitting meditation. The facilitators will then offer a reading, or video, or short talk for contemplation. We frame the week by making space for anyone who wishes to voice an intention or aspiration for the practice on Monday, and on Friday we share about the fruits of putting effort into that intention.

Saturday, 7am - 9am PST

Dharma talks are a wonderful and relaxing way to take the wisdom teachings of the Plum Village tradition deeply into our soil of our consciousness where the can be nurtured in our daily lives. Many of the Dharma talks we enjoy were given by our teacher Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) in his mother language of Vietnamese. Thanks to the skillful and devoted interpretation of My Tong, we have a unique opportunity to learn teachings from Thay otherwise unavailable to non-Vietnamese speakers. When My is not available to interpret, we enjoy talks from Thay in English or from other Dharma teachers in the Plum Village tradition. A rich and lively discussion follows the Dharma talk.

First Sunday of the Month, 4pm - 6pm PST

We offer a cermonial recitation of the Five Mindfulness Trainings for those who have formally received them and want to keep the commitment to recite them regularly with a sangha and those you may or not be on the path to receiving them but want the support of community in practicing them in their daily lives. The ceremony includes an incense offering, touching the earth, reading the trainings, and taking refuge followed by discussion. All are welcome to participate.
